Qualification times and programme of events have now been published for both the County Championships and Development meet next year.
The County Championships will take place over two weekends at Parkside Pool , Cambridge
Weekend 1 22/23/24th January 2027
Weekend 2 5/6/7th February 2027
The development meet will take place at Newmarket over the weekend of 27th & 28th February.
Tuesday 27th October 2026 – Parkside Pool, Cambridge – 14:00–20:00
The sessions provide an informal opportunity for club volunteers, committee members, coaches and other club personnel to ask questions, share ideas, discuss challenges and find out more about the support available to clubs.
The session is open to clubs from across the East Region. Whether you have a specific issue you would like to discuss or simply want to find out more about the support available, we would be pleased to welcome you.
Further drop-in sessions will take place in other parts of the Region over the coming months, giving clubs across the East further opportunities to engage with us.

It wasn’t our year – 36 points more than in 2024, we will be climb back!
Our swimmers headed to Ponds Forge in Sheffield today for the National Inter County Event, representing Cambridgeshire in Division 1 against some of the best county teams in the country. After the team’s outstanding performance last year to gain promotion from Division 2, we now had to answer the question: can we stand toe to toe with the best counties in the country?
It was a fiercely contested day. We finished 17th out of 20 teams in Division 1, and with four counties between 16th and 19th all fighting to stay in the top division, the margins were razor thin. Nothing was settled until the final two relays, where the battle for survival was decided.
Sadly, the result means Cambridgeshire will compete in Division 2 next year. That is a disappointing outcome after such a tight finish, but every swimmer should be proud of how they represented the county.

Thank you to the swimmers, coaches, team managers, officials, and the parents and supporters who made the trip to Sheffield. The team leaves fired up, with a real hunger to return to Division 1, and Cambridgeshire will be back next year to make it happen.
Swim England Cambridgeshire County is committed to investing in the next generation of coaches across all aquatic disciplines. The Future Coaches Fund provides financial support for coaching qualifications and other approved development opportunities.
Funding is limited, with successful applicants able to receive up to 80% reimbursement of approved coaching course and related development costs. Applications will be assessed on commitment, development potential, and the positive impact the funding will have on both the coach and their club. Successful applicants will also be expected to support the County Development Camp programme, providing valuable coaching experience while giving back to the county.
Results for the Swim England Cambridgeshire Open Water Championships have now been calculated from the results of the East Region Championships held on Sunday 12 July 2026 at Whitlingham Country Park, NR14 8TR.

The Championships will be held at Manor Leisure Centre, Whittlesey on 20th and 21st June 2026.

Cambridge Parkside Pools was host to the Swim England Cambridgeshire County senior and junior diving championships. Divers compete on both 1m and 3m springboards and 5m platform to gain individual board honours and a trophy for the overall points score winner.
